How lucky we were to pick this house! I cannot imagine any hosts putting more thought into the house and its facilities for their guests. It was just terrific. The location is amazing - away from it all with views over the fields but with easy access to Kendal. To have this private space and garden backing onto a river was just a dream - and then if you turn left rather than right over the cobblestone bridge you drive thru the trees and along the river, on a road that was devoid of traffic, taking you uphill and out into glorious countryside and sweeping roads. In short, a true gem!
